Creating an online platform to engage students in class materials and in class discussions is a challenging task; yet, it requires one old but useful principle: simple is beautiful. The results will be incredibly efficient and effective both for the instructor and the students.

Now that as the instructor you have decided on your learning goals and set your objectives, you can break down certain tasks, assignments, and learning processes (and even the learning goals!) into smaller and simpler pieces. Breaking down into pieces is pretty like starting a 5000-piece puzzle from one corner and then building on top of that one corner, not trying to place all the pieces at the same time. It is very helpful to organize the course modules in small and simple pieces: what is your learning goals for this week? What are certain tasks? What are the deliverable? Why do we need these deliverables? What is the content for this week? What did we learn from this week? And finally, do we agree or disagree with the content, and why?

My role is to walk you through the process of breaking goals, tasks and assignments into pieces, and to communicate this endeavor with the students via multimedia platforms.
